Nanwei Wharf is located in the northeast of Nansha Street, Nansha District, Guangzhou City. It is located in the geometric center of the Pearl River Delta and has excellent waterway conditions. It is one of the deep-water wharves on the west bank of the Pearl River. Nanwei Wharf is 38 nautical miles away from Hong Kong and 41 nautical miles away from Macau by waterway; 52 kilometers away from downtown Guangzhou and 60 kilometers away from Shenzhen by land.
In 1996, Nanwei Wharf was approved by the State Council as a national first-class port open to the outside world.
